Be a Hero Fun Run
2016 has given Eau Claire many reasons to celebrate; the opening of two hotels in Downtown Eau Claire, the talents of Florida Georgia Line, Erykah Badu and many others gracing our stages, and a revolution within the Eau Claire culinary scene. Eau Claire Jazz Festival was bigger than ever, Altoona announced its plans to build an events center, the university celebrated 100 years in the making, and ground was broken for the construction of the Confluence Arts Center. This year will surely go down in the books and we’re ready to give it the celebration it deserves while welcoming in our new best friend, 2017!
Downtown Eau Claire is preparing to ring in the new year with more excitement, energy and lights than it ever has before. With activities for families and kids such as the Little Lantern Parade and the We-Bop Family Jazz Party at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, as well as adult festivities that will brighten up the city, this New Year’s Eve will go down in history!
Be sure to purchase your New Year’s Eve wristband, which will give you exclusive access to venues all along Barstow St. in Downtown Eau Claire, where there will be live music, fresh drinks and a whole lot of celebrating! Just hours before the new year arrives, take part in the Lismore Lantern Parade, where the city will join together to light up the streets of downtown.
Blasting into 2017, there will be a fireworks show at the confluence of the two rivers. Additional wristbands can be purchased to give you exclusive access to the Rooftop Viewing Tent, which will be located on top of the new parking garage on Riverfront Terrace!
Get ready to make some noise and say farewell to what has been an incredible 2016!
