Parking in Downtown Eau Claire

Downtown Eau Claire offers a plethora of parking options. With parking lots, side-street parking and parking ramps, you’ll never be more than a short walk from your destination. Better yet, there are blue signs with the letter “P” on them to designate all of the downtown Eau Claire parking options, ensuring that you’ll always know you’re parking in the right spot. Regulations

1. All metered & on-street 2-hour parking downtown is enforced from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 7 days a week.

2. Permit parking is enforced during the week based on posted times of parking lots.

3. Most municipal parking lots have free parking after 5:00 PM during the week in the permit parking stalls.

Free Parking

Barstow Street Lot (Four Corners): 2-hour limit from 9am-5pm on Monday-Friday

Farwell Street Lot: Free in permit stalls from 5pm-7am on Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Forest Street Lot: 4-hour limit from 9am-5pm on Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Menomonie Street Lot: Free daily parking

On Street: From 6pm-2am, more On Street parking information here 

Railroad Lot: From 6pm-6am

Riverside Parking Deck: Free in permit stalls from 5pm-7am on Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Schlegelmilch-McDaniel Lot: Free daily parking

Seaver Street Lot: From 6pm-6am on Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Metered Parking

Metered parking is available adjacent to the public library and in several of the downtown parking lots. 

Enforcement Rate: Parking meters are enforced daily from 6am-6pm with the exception of holidays. Meter parking rates are $0.25 per hour. The exception to this rate is the City's two parking ramps and the Riverside Parking Deck Lot, which are $0.50 per hour. Parking meters & 2-hour parking are not enforced by the City on the following holidays:
