Halloween in Eau Claire
Start practicing your Monster Mash moves... Halloween is approaching and Eau Claire is ready to celebrate! Here are some spooktacular things to do this year in Eau Claire.
Head over to downtown Eau Claire with the kids on Friday, October 29, 2021, for the annual Downtown Trick-Or-Treat! Select downtown businesses will be handing out candy and other treats from 3-5 p.m. Find the map of participating businesses here.
Roaming around pumpkin patches, enjoying hay barrel rides, and drinking loads of fresh apple cider... if there’s a better way to spend an autumn day, we can’t think of it. Luckily, autumn in Wisconsin is unbeatable and Eau Claire takes advantage of that. Head over to one of the many pumpkin patches, such as Govin's Farm, Valley Pasture Farm, Ferguson’s Apple Orchard, or Leffel Roots, and find the plumpest and best pumpkin around to carve and make your own!
It's not October in Wisconsin without a visit to an apple orchard. If you're looking for "Fall Fun", Eau Claire's orchards are it. You'll get to pick your own apples, bite into some scrumptious apple cider donuts, find your way through corn mazes, and much more!
Haunted Houses & Paths
This one is not for the faint of heart, but if you're someone who just loves the adrenaline rush of walking through a haunted house or corn maze in the pitch black of night, the Eau Claire area has plenty of ghouls and goblins who are ready to make you scream. One option is the Twisted Tails of Horror at Govin's Farm in the neighboring city of Menomonie, WI. We gave it a shot ourselves and all we have to say is... you may want to pack an extra pair of pants. Experience what we went through with this video! Twisted Tails of Horror takes place every Friday and Saturday night from 6 pm -10 pm throughout October.
If you're looking for more haunts and thrills, check out Field of Screams Haunted Barn and Trail at Rockin' T-R Ranch from October 21-23 and October 28-30 from 7 pm -10 pm hosted by the Eau Claire Sport Warehouse. Tactical Escape is partnering with the Chippewa Valley Museum and is a spooky escape room in the basement of the historic Schlegelmilch House. Find available dates and reserve a time for your group. Last but certainly not least, Eau Claire has the Ski Sprites Haunted House that is a local favorite each year. Their haunted house is located at 415 South Dewey and is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from Oct. 14-30, 2021 from 7-11 pm. Find haunted house details at Ski Sprites.
