Most people typically would not want to get anywhere near an animal that's known to spit. Besides their ultimate "cuteness" factor, we have a few reasons why the "spitting" should be overlooked and why you MUST pay a visit to Justorian Alpacas the next time you find yourself in Osseo, WI.
First, let's orient ourselves. Osseo, WI is about 20 minutes south of Eau Claire, WI, right off of I-94. While smaller in size, this town is big and mighty when it comes to one-of-a-kind experiences. It's not every day that you stumble upon a city with an alpaca farm. Well, truly it's a "hobby farm" and it's owned by a down-to-earth couple who just see their alpacas as their pets!
Jerry and Wendy Campbell started with just two alpacas about 10 years ago. Now, they own over 20! Now, remember, we said that Jerry and Wendy see them as their pets, so each alpaca has its own name, its own personality, and its own love to give. When you get a chance to interact with these friendly creatures, you'll quickly fall in love and connect with their gentle souls.
In addition to experiencing the alpacas, Justorian Alpacas has a store located on their hobby farm as well at which they sell several different goods made of alpaca wool. The products they sell include items like yarn, socks, hats, gloves, trinkets, and much more.
So, now you're probably thinking: this is amazing! How the heck do I get here?! Justorian Alpacas is typically open from 12-5 pm on Sundays or you could give them a call at 715-597-2229 to schedule a visit ahead of time. They also have a retail store located in downtown Osseo (13818 7th St) that will be open on Saturdays from 9 am - 5 pm & Sundays from 10 am - 4 pm from October 2021 through March 2022. They may have additional hours during November/December to support any holiday shopping visitors are seeking to do as well. Stay up to date with their operating hours and any other updates on their website or their Facebook page!
