The Local Store proudly offers Giant's Momentum LaFree E+ bikes from Shift Cyclery & Coffee Shop, a local coffee house in downtown Eau Claire. These bikes are easy to get on/off, have a powerful battery life, and have a comfortable design. The e-bikes let you cruise uphill and cover up to 65 miles on a single charge. While the e-bikes offer speed assistance, you can also pedal with no assistance just like a regular bike. The electric scooters are Segway Ninebot KickScooter MAX G30P riders with an 18 MPH top speed and a 40-mile range. The rear-wheel drive design gives improved acceleration, stability, and braking. Whichever mode of transportation you prefer, you'll get where you're going quickly and have a memorable time along the way! How it Works

The Local Store has everything you need to take on the trails of the Eau Claire area. With e-bike and e-scooter rentals, you can independently explore Eau Claires, tunnels, bridges, rivers, rail trails, and more attractions along the way. Here's how it works:

Reserve a Time

Book your e-bikes and e-scooters by visiting their website or calling The Local Store directly at (715) 552-7377. If you didn't have time to make a reservation, just stop in! The Local Store will take walk-ins depending on availability.

Pick up Bikes or Scooters

Once your equipment is booked, you can head to The Local Store to pick up our bikes, helmets, and accessories right on-site. Stop inside the store and check in at the sales counter, and the staff at The Local Store will get you hooked up. While you're welcome to ride wherever you'd like in Eau Claire, Electric Bike Rental can point you toward popular rail trails, bridges, river tunnels, and more. There are 5 urban loops to choose from that range from 5-mile to 13.5-mile round trips. The City Centre River Route is a signature route leading you on accessible paved trails to highlights of the city like Phoenix Park, the High Bridge, and more. The Putnam Park Woods Route is a quick 5-mile trail through the historic Third Ward neighborhood along the Putnam Park nature preserve trail.
