Description
The Trinity Volunteer Team is an extension of our mission to change lives through the connection between horse and human. Our highly-credentialed team is comprised of licensed therapists, equine-assisted psychotherapists, equine specialists, therapeutic riding instructors, counselors, and a herd of over 20 horses who we regard as “certified good boys and girls.”

Join Trinity for equine-related opportunities weekly, or non-equine opportunities as they pop up.
Weekly opportunities include: Barn Chores and Adaptive Riding.
Pop-up opportunities include: Hospitality/Meals, Special Events, Maintenance, and Garden Team.

The highest need for volunteers is the Adaptive Riding Group program!

WHAT IS ADAPTIVE RIDING:
This program invites certain youth/adults to ride horses for therapeutic purposes. The program is built for those who have a unique physical or mental health diagnosis such as multiple sclerosis, autism, anxiety or depression. By riding on the horse, participants can build core strength, communication skills, and social skills. Participants benefit from emotional enrichment of therapeutic riding and equine-assisted learning.
Volunteers will:
• Gain an understanding of the horse-human connection and the benefit of adaptive riding.
• Gain comfort in relating to others with special needs.
• Experience the benefit of encouraging others and see progress in their rider.
• Learn individual roles and responsibilities within the team.
• Practice healthy boundaries, self-awareness, and situational awareness.

Like to exercise and keep fit? Barn Chores is for you!
Get close with horses and their living quarters. Help the chore team keep our herd happy and safe! Training is offered!
