The programs and services of the Family Resource Center build on family’s strengths through prevention, education, support and collaboration with other community resources. We believe parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. We run playgroups for children aged 0-5, Parenting Cafes to support caregivers and provide home visiting. Volunteers help with a variety of projects including: playgroups or open play, special event programming, answering phones and cleaning. Also, if you have a special talent (foreign language, musical skill, etc). and would like to offer it to families with young children, we can schedule it into our newsletter.
