The Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association is here to empower people, advance cultures, and enhance the quality of life for Chippewa Valley communities by promoting relationships of trust, safety, and a sense of belonging. Our Food and Rice Pantry program is to help bring food and materials for our Hmong and minority families in the community. We partner with Feed My People along with Amerasian. During the summer time, local Hmong farmers will generously donate their fresh produce to the Food Pantry too. We are seeking for volunteers that are ready to help and willing to learn how to run a small pantry. Knowing how to speak Hmong is a plus, for most of our clients only speaks Hmong. But is not a requirement. On your first day, you'll get a quick run through on how we run the pantry. Our pantry is every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 11am-4pm. Every volunteer must fill out an application and go through a background check. If you're interested or have any questions, please contact our Office Manager, Nancy Yang at office.manager@ecahmaa.org or call our office at 715.832.8420.
