At Compassus, our mission is to provide the highest quality care, comfort, and compassion to patients and their families throughout the hospice journey. We are dedicated to honoring the lives of those we serve, and we strive to deliver holistic care that supports not only the physical needs of patients but also their emotional and spiritual well-being. Our commitment to service and excellence extends to everyone—patients, families, and the communities we serve—as we help people navigate life’s most challenging moments with dignity and grace.
As part of our efforts to bring comfort and joy to hospice patients, we are seeking certified Pet Therapy Volunteers who would like to share the warmth and companionship of their beloved therapy animals. These special volunteers play a vital role in creating meaningful connections with our patients, providing a soothing presence to those who may feel isolated, anxious, or overwhelmed.
Whether it’s visiting patients in health care facilities or bringing the joy of a furry companion to someone in the comfort of their own home, certified pet therapy volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of those we care for. The unconditional love and calming presence of a therapy animal is often a source of joy and peace for hospice patients, helping them feel comforted and loved during a challenging time.
If you and your certified therapy pet are compassionate, patient, and eager to bring smiles and solace to others, we would be honored to have you join our volunteer team. Together, you can make an incredible impact on the lives of hospice patients and their loved ones. Patient pet visits can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour per week.
