Buffalo County Humane Association

Buffalo County Humane Association has been caring for companion animals in need for 25 years. We opened our first permanent building, the Jerome and Judith Benson Animal Shelter, in fall of 2019. We are looking for volunteers to help in many areas, including animal care (cats / dogs / rabbits), facility maintenance, events, foster homes, office admin, board members, etc. Volunteers can come as often as they would like - there is no time restriction. Most animal care takes about an hour per session and is dedicated to a specific group of animals. As we are 100% volunteer-operated, we can find a place for any skills or gifts that you have to offer! BCHA is recognized as a nonprofit organization under IRS Code, Section 501(c)(3).
