The Board on Aging and Long Term care is looking for volunteers for the Volunteer Ombudsman Program. The volunteer advocate will become a friendly visitor in an assisted living facility or memory care community. The purpose will be to ensure the resident is being treated with respect and dignity and to empower them to advocate for themselves. The volunteer advocate will report back to the Resident Advocacy Specialist after each visit.
Age Range
21-89
Physical Restrictions and/or Requirements
The person must be able to stand and walk for up to 2 hours at a time.
