Rosemaling is a traditional ornamental art of painting flower motifs on wooden furniture and objects originating in Norway. The convention will be headquartered at Metropolis Resort with various activities planned. It will be great addition to the already prominent artistic scene of Eau Claire with a wide variety of classes to choose to participate in along with a special exhibit at the Ager House.

"Rosemaling Coast to Coast members are excited to have their convention in 2021 at The Metropolis in Eau Claire, WI", says Lois Mueller, RCC President and Founder. "The city has much to offer us in the way of a venue where everything is under one roof, the Ager House that highlights the writings of a gentleman from Norway, the [Chippewa Valley] Museum which offers history from several areas of Europe, and entertainment such as the Metropolis Resort for the whole family. It is indeed an ideal location for a rosemaling convention."

"This was wonderful news for our team to find out. The creativity that the city of Eau Claire has helped cultivate will help artists attending the convention feel right at home." says Benny Anderson, Interim Executive Director of Visit Eau Claire.

The 2021 event has an estimated economic impact of $79,650.00.
