Sunny Found His Home. Let’s Make It Official.
Meet Sunny — Eau Claire's favorite good boy, made entirely of recycled rubber tires, and (unofficially) the friendliest piece on the Eau Claire Sculpture Tour. He doesn't bark, doesn't shed, and never needs walking — but he does need one thing: to stay right here in Eau Claire.
Here's the thing: sculptures on the tour don't stay forever — unless they win the People's Choice Award. Every year, the public votes for their favorite piece, and the winner gets purchased and added to the City of Eau Claire's permanent collection for good. Sunny, being a bit of a latecomer to the tour, isn't eligible to compete. So instead of leaving it up to a vote, we're leaving it up to Eau Claire. We're raising $18,000 to purchase Sunny ourselves and make his home here permanent.
This campaign runs now through Christmas, with two key moments to watch: Eau Claire's City Giving Day (September 23) and Giving Tuesday (December 1) — both great opportunities to make your gift go further.
And when we hit $18,000, Sunny gets dressed up for the season — wreath, lights, and a few holiday surprises we're keeping under wraps.
