Basic Rules

The minimum age for players is 18. Players may only play on one team involved in the tournament and must be registered with the Altoona Parks & Recreation Department before participating in play. The minimum number of players that must be on the roster is 8; maximum is 20. Teams must be co-ed and mixed as evenly as possible. See “TEAMS” for details.

A team may be reserved/registered right away, even without a complete roster. However only the first 24 teams will be accepted, so register early.

The Chippewa Valley Rock ‘n Roll Kickball Classic is a double elimination (plus Toilet Bowl) tournament played on three fields in Altoona’s Cinder City Park. The first games will start on Friday night, with the last round starting at 9 p.m. Play continues on Saturday morning with the Championship game(s) kicking off that evening.

Championship Trophies

The top three teams in the tournament take home trophies (of varying proportions) to commemorate their superior status. That, plus there’s cash: First place takes home $250, second place takes home $125, and third place $75.

The Consumption Cup

Yup, there’s gonna be a trophy for how much tasty beverage not only your TEAM drinks but also all your FANS! Every time your team or any one of your fans buys a drink of any kind (soft drinks, water, beer) they can register it under your team name (so again, make sure they know your name!).
Spread the word! Facebook, Email, Twitter, Phone Calls!

Super Spirit Award

This trophy awards the most creative and enthusiastic teamsmanship. Umpires, event staff, and a few others will be secretly watching throughout the weekend to award the team that goes the extra mile.

Toilet Bowl Champion

This trophy (a miniature toilet dipped in fake bronze!) commemorates the best of the worst teams at the tournament. Any team that loses their first two games goes straight to the toilet bowl where they battle the other losers to be the least worst.
