Be a Hero Fun Run
The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts - formerly the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater - has brought cultural excellence to the Chippewa Valley since it was commissioned in 1889 by Andrew and Bertha Tainter to honor their daughter Mabel, who passed away in 1886 at the age of 19.
The 124 year old facility is listed on the National Register of Historic Theaters and is a Wisconsin Historic Marker destination. The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts presents and produces a diverse, year-round season of music, theater, dance, and comedy in its Victorian-era “jewel box” theater; hosts a monthly “Jazz and Wine at the Mabel” series in its intimate Gallery; offers visual arts exhibitions and classes in its Studio; hosts a beloved annual Fine Arts and Crafts Fair.
