New Year’s Eve 2018 comes alive as the lanterns of the third annual Light Up Eau Clare Parade wind their way through downtown.
This year’s theme is Dragons of the North, a winged, weird and wonderful celebration of the magical and the mysterious. These legendary creatures lurk on the outer limits of the map, on the edge between the known and the unknown -- who better then than dragons to mark the coming of a new year, with all its power and possibility? And who better than the people of Eau Claire to bring these dragons to life?
Lineup begins at 5:30 P.M. at the Visit Eau Claire Experience Center and we will start the parade at 6 P.M. sharp.
The parade will start at the intersection of Graham Avenue and Gibson Street at the Visit Eau Claire Experience Center. We will walk South on Graham Avenue, then head East on Gray Street, turn North on Barstow and lastly, head West on Eau Claire Street. We'll end at the Pablo Center at the Confluence main entrance.
Need to make your lantern? Check out these lantern workshops. Or you can purchase one in Visit Eau Claire's Experience Center before the parade starts.
