Have you ever experienced the satisfaction of eating a tomato plucked from a plant that you started from seed? Or how about growing an heirloom variety that you can’t buy from a nursery? If not, then come join Master Gardener Volunteer Andy Heren as he teaches us how to start our own seedlings. It’s not as hard as you think! You don’t need any fancy equipment or grow lights. Regular fluorescent lights work great! This is a “Make It, Take It” presentation, so you will go home with some pots that will be the start of your garden! Andy has been a gardener all his life and a Master Gardener Volunteer since 2010. He loves to grow heirloom vegetables, especially hard to find varieties that have great flavor!
Volunteer Master gardener Andy Heren will help you get growing heirloom seeds! Learn gardening tips and plant seeds to take home at this free workshop. Pre-registration is required by calling the library at 715-286-2070 to ensure enough supplies for everyone.
