The Red Flint Firecracker is back for an explosive weekend of runs, rides, races, and a kick-off party in Downtown Eau Claire. Tie up those shoes and grease up that bike to tackle one of Western Wisconsin’s best trail systems at Lowes Creek County Park, just outside Eau Claire.

Friday: Pre-Race Events

The night before the race, pick up your race packet at a kick-off party at the Oxbow Hotel.

From 6:00-10:00pm enjoy live music, full Lakely menu, outdoor burgers & brats, beer & cocktails bar, 1 free tap beer for racers, vendor & sponsor tents, micro bike races, cozy firepits, merch sales, and more.

Downtown Group Run - A 3 mile group fun run on city trails. Leaves from the Oxbow Hotel Courtyard at 5:30pm and returns for the kick-off party.

Urban Group Road & Trail Ride - This 7-mile group fun ride will leave from the Oxbow Hotel Courtyard at 5:45, taking to the city streets and trails then returning for the party.

Saturday: Race Day

A full day of outdoor events for riders, runners, and kids. Beer tents, food trucks, free snacks, and more to celebrate summer, trails, at the Lowes Creek County Park trail system.

7:00 am: Racer check-in and packet pickup
8:00 am: Trail Run 5k course 
9:30 am: Mountain Bike - Beginner Short Course
11:00 am: Mountain Bike - 1 to 3 laps of a 7 mile course
1:00 pm: Lil’ Snaps Kid’s Ride/Race - Fun single track course for kids under 10
