North Barstow Sponsorships and Grants

The North Barstow Business Improvement District (BID) is investing in events and projects within the North Barstow/Medical BID boundaries that support businesses, enhance visitor experiences and create opportunities for our community to enjoy all the district has to offer!

Currently, two funding opportunities are available: Event Sponsorships to fund public events that take place within the BID Boundaries, and Beautification Grants to fund projects that enhance the aesthetics and experiences in the district. More information on each is provided below.

Beautification Grants

The North Barstow Business Improvement District (BID) provides funds for beautification projects that fall within the district's borders. Projects may vary in scope and type. Fundable projects may include but are not limited to beautification projects such as murals; public art; landscaping; public space improvement; addition of public amenities; and more.

The intent of the grant is to enhance aesthetics and the overall experience of visitors, businesses, and residents in the North Barstow BID. Funding is intended to help fund projects that, while they would bring worthwhile enhancements to the district, might fall beyond the available budget or your business or organization.

Available funds will vary annually and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted. Previously-approved funding decisions do not guarantee future availability or decisions. Requests can be made for up to $10,000. Funding is contingent on the completion of the project and recipients will be asked to provide a follow up report on their project.

Applications will be reviewed and voted on by the North Barstow BID Board of Directors quarterly in April of 2024.  Applications for the 2024 cycle are due by March 1st, 2024.
