COVID-19 Travel Resources

To all of our travelers and industry partners:

Many are tracking COVID-19 (Coronavirus) developments via news media. The safety and health of our visitors is our top priority. Travelers to Eau Claire and elsewhere should continue to observe the health recommendations of national and local public health officials.

Visitors to Eau Claire should follow the protective steps outlined by the CDC:

  • Wash hands often, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cough into your elbow and sneeze into a tissue
  • Consult with a doctor before traveling when sick
  • Stay up to date on vaccinations
  • Avoid traveling if you are sick
  • Avoid contact with people who are already sick
  • Avoid contact with animals while traveling
  • Be aware of the latest travel advisories from the CDC and the U.S. Department of State
  • Get a flu vaccine
  • Take everyday precautions to stop the spread of germs
  • Take flu antivirals if prescribed


Note: Older adults and people with underlying chronic medical conditions are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19

List of Postponed/Canceled Events Related to COVID-19:

Pablo Center at the Confluence will remain closed until May 26.

Leinie Lodge will be closed to the public until June 25, 2020.

5/7/2020 Eau Claire Express announcement: The Northwoods Leauge has decided the May 26 league-wide opener has been postponed indefinitely. The current situation will continue to be monitored by league officials and they will take into consideration local, state, and national guidelines as to when it might be safe to start the 2020 season.
