Has summer got you in the mood for some music?
Eau Claire and the surrounding areas have lots of music festivals for all sorts of genres. Whether you're going for the music, the food, the art, or just a darn good time, there's undoubtedly a festival on this list for you.
1. Blue Ox Music Festival
Is bluegrass your thing? Blue Ox has got you covered. From June 14-16 at the Eau Claire festival grounds, Blue Ox Music Festival is hosting a variety of bluegrass, Americana, and roots bands and artists including The Devil Makes Three, Greensky Bluegrass, and Sam Bush. General admission tickets range from $89-$179, depending on how many days you plan to attend.
2. Country Fest
Calling all country fans! Country Fest is one of two major country music festivals in the Eau Claire area. Country Fest is the first of the two, taking place June 21-23 in Cadott. The headliners for the three-day weekend are Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, and Brad Paisley. Additional performers include Kip Moore and Jake Owen. Country Fest features multiple stages, camping, and different types of admission passes. Tickets are still on sale on the festival's website for $95-$159, depending on how many days you attend.
3. Northwoods Blues Festival
Taking place at the end of June, Northwoods Blue Festival features national and regional blues bands from June 29-30. The event takes place in Chippewa Falls at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. Becky Barksdale, Jimmy Thackery, and Shaun Murphy are three of the many bands to grace the festival's two stages. General admission tickets are available for $35-$60. Camping is also available.
4. Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival
Co-organized by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, the Eaux Claires Festival features indie artists from all over. Each summer for the past four years, the festival has drawn in thousands of music lovers from around the world. While the festival has changed dates throughout the years, this year's festival will be July 6-7 at Foster Farms, Eau Claire's festival grounds on Crescent Ave.
The festival features multiple stages of live music. Additionally, the weekend is filled with food as well as performance and visual art. This year's performance line-up has yet to be announced, but two-day tickets are on sale on the festival's website for $177.
5. Rock Fest
If indie and country music isn't your thing, there's Rock Fest. This festival takes place July 12-14 in Cadott. Fans and festival-goers can see performances from bands like Disturbed, Pop Evil, and Incubus on the fairground's permanent main stage. General admission Rock Fest tickets are on sale for $89-$129 on the festival's website.
6. Country Jam USA
Country Jam USA occurs later in the summer at the end of July on the Eau Claire festival grounds. The three day-weekend of July 19-21 features performances by Blake Shelton, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, Alabama, and plenty more. General admission tickets are available for $85-$149.
7. Ashley for the Arts
Ashley for the Arts is located about an hour south of Eau Claire in Arcadia, Wisconsin. This music festival is a little different from the rest on the list since it's a non-profit festival. The proceeds from the event go towards non-profit organizations, such as children's charities, medical research, and schools. Ashley for the Arts charges $10 for the three-day event from Aug. 9-11, which features artists such as ZZ Ward, Andy Grammer, and Rascal Flatts. In addition to music performances, Ashley for the Arts hosts a 5K walk, a car show, and an arts and crafts fair.
