Eau Claire, WI - The 5th Annual Eau Claire Big Rig Truck & Tractor Show brings together people of all ages and gives them an opportunity to see the world of trucking. The show is free to the public and is held at the Chippewa Valley Technical College (617 W. Clairemont Ave. Eau Claire, WI) near Sacred Heart Hospital August 15 - 17, 2014.
Approximately 100 semi-trucks from across the United States and Canada will be on display. There is a little bit of everything at this show; antique, non-working and even fire-trucks, but many are working show trucks, here for the weekend and back to work on Monday. Some of the country's top show trucks will be on display. Customized interiors, unique light displays, beautiful murals, brilliant chrome work and much more will be showcased at this event.
Once again this year, Alex Debogorski, star of the
History Channel series Ice Road Truckers (IRT), will be back to sign autographs
and talk to fans. IRT is an Emmy-nominated, critically acclaimed docu-reality
show that has aired on the History Channel for eight seasons. It airs in 180
countries around the world starring the Original Ice Road Trucker himself – Alex
will be available throughout the weekend.
New this year, the event will feature farm tractors of
all sizes. Over 25,000 sq. ft. of exhibitors from the
trucking industry will be on display. Come and vote for your
favorite tractor!
Musical entertainment on the family main stage is provided
by the JFT Party Band. Ben Stillwater and the Sound of Country
Rhythm Trio will be performing on the side stage. The Bounce Houses and
kids area will be back. Demonstrations from local organizations
including Karate American, Trinity Equestrian
Center, Diamond School of Dance as
well as Free-Friday evening Popcorn and Movie Night. A
Light Parade for the trucks will be Saturday evening and the tractor
Parade of Power is on the grounds Sunday.
The truck show is proud to contribute to the following
local non-profit groups: United Cerebral Palsy of West Central
Wisconsin, the Hands Foundation helping homeless veterans and the Chippewa
Valley Chapter of the SPAAMFAA (Society for the Preservation and
Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America.)
