More than 50 students from Black River Falls, Colfax and Alma Center high schools will be in attendance and will participate in a student business expo featuring 16 area businesses.

Hospitality & Tourism Day incorporates JA Hospitality & Tourism Industry curriculum and JA Job Shadow.  This is an opportunity for high school students to learn about career opportunities in the Chippewa Valley and identify what skills are needed to acquire a job at a business or with an organization.  With the help of the local tourism and industry businesses, area youth are exposed to the growth and change in the hospitality industry.

Speakers for the day include Drew Nussbaum from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Linda John from Visit Eau Claire, and Katie Reid from Kelly Services. Businesses and organizations participating are: Metropolis Resort, Visit Eau Claire, The Florian Gardens, The Eau Claire Chamber or Commerce, Eau Claire Country Club, Eau Claire Express, Action City, Chippewa Valley Museum, Chippewa Valley Regional Airport, Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, Country Jam, Eau Claire Parks & Recreation, embark, Higgins Travel, and the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce.
