Monday, July 14: Farm-to-Table Dining Experiences

In the 715, food is more than something you eat—it’s an experience that brings people together. Our farm-to-table scene is a celebration of community, creativity, and the rich agricultural roots that define this region. Whether you're dining under the stars on a working farm or digging into a locally inspired dish downtown, you’ll taste the care, craft, and connection in every bite.

Head to Together Farms in Mondovi for a one-of-a-kind outdoor feast complete with pasture-raised meats, live music, and wide-open skies. At Farm to Fork Retreat, dinner feels like a gathering of friends, prepared with seasonal ingredients in a peaceful, rural setting. In Eau Claire, the local love continues. The Lakely serves up elevated Midwestern comfort food with ingredients so local, you'd think they'd come from right outside. The Informalist puts an upscale twist on global flavors using regional produce and thoughtfully sourced meats. Start your day with a soulful brunch at The Nucleus, where scratch-made dishes and homey vibes keep locals coming back again and again. The Good Wives adds modern flair to classic comfort food, all made with locally grown goodness. And when you’re craving a next-level burger, Valley Burger Company delivers with pasture-raised beef and creative toppings that highlight the best of the region.

This is what farm-to-table looks like in the 715—fresh, flavorful, and full of heart! Click here to learn more about the agricultural sector of the 715 and to view some of the best attractions on the farm.

Tuesday, July 15: The Outdoor Scene

Woohoo! It’s 7/15—the day we go all out for the 715—and there’s no better way to celebrate than by getting outside and soaking up all the natural beauty this region has to offer. Eau Claire is known for its connected trail systems, lush parks, and riverside views, making it a go-to spot for outdoor lovers of all kinds. Whether you’re into biking, hiking, paddling, or simply lounging in the sunshine, the 715 has a little something for everyone.

For 715 Week, we’re turning the spotlight on one of the best ways to explore it all: by bike. We’ve created a one-of-a-kind 7-mile, 1-loop bike route that takes you past 5 can’t-miss stops showcasing the heart and soul of Eau Claire. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just out for a leisurely cruise, this ride is the perfect way to connect with the city and celebrate summer in the 715.

Here’s where you’ll roll through:

  • The Local Store – Kick things off with local goods, EC-themed gear, plenty of trail snacks, and some e-bikes.
  • Phoenix Park – Pause by the riverside and soak in the views where the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers meet.
  • The High Bridge – Snap a photo on this iconic bridge with panoramic views of the river valley.
  • Carson Park – Bike through one of the most scenic green spaces in town, complete with lakeside paths and towering pines.
  • Owen Park – Finish strong at this peaceful riverside park, home to shaded paths, public art, and often a surprise concert or two in the bandshell.

Whether you’re biking solo or with your crew, this route captures the very best of summer in the 715. Don’t forget your helmet, your camera, and maybe a celebratory scoop of ice cream when you’re done. You’ve earned it! Refer to the map below to guide your 715 ride.

Wednesday, July 16: Downtown Eau Claire

If the 715 has a heartbeat, it’s downtown Eau Claire. Bursting with energy, creativity, and small-town charm, this walkable riverfront district is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon or an entire day.

The shopping scene features trending jewelry shops like Token Jewelry and Hello Adorn, where everything is handmade with style and intention. Vintage lovers can explore Eau Claire Vintage and Seven Suns Vintage, while bookworms can browse the thoughtfully curated shelves at Dotters Books.

Dining options are just as exciting. Guac N' Roll serves up burritos with flair, The Livery offers elevated comfort food in a cozy setting, Thai Orchid brings bold and flavorful dishes, and The District pairs good beer with great food.

Downtown also thrives as an arts and culture hub. Murals and sculptures line the streets as part of the Eau Claire Sculpture Tour, the largest rotating public exhibit in the country. The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire offers interactive fun for families, and the Pablo Center at the Confluence hosts performances, exhibitions, and creative programming throughout the year.

Downtown Eau Claire blends local flavor, creative spirit, and a strong sense of place, all in one lively, walkable neighborhood. It's where farm fresh products meet restaurant dishes, artists showcase their work to the public, and business owners bring their dreams to life! Thursday, July 17: Local Favorites

When you ask someone their favorite parts about Eau Claire, you’ll often get a mix of answers. Some say music festivals. Others rave about the farmers markets, the riverways, the apple orchards, the family-friendly accommodations, the trails, the entertainment, or the ever-evolving dining scene. And the best part? They’re all right.

Eau Claire’s charm lies in the way it blends big experiences with small-town warmth. It’s in the little coffee shop along the path of a morning walk. It’s the barista who remembers your order. It’s the restaurant you recommend to out-of-towners without hesitation. It’s the evening bike ride along the Chippewa River Trail, the spontaneous stop at a food truck, the local band playing on a patio as the sun sets.

These local favorites aren’t always flashy, but they’re the heartbeat of the 715. They’re the places we come back to, bring our friends to, and feel proud to call our own. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been here for years, discovering them is what makes Eau Claire feel like home. This portion of 715 Week is all about celebrating what YOU love most about the region and what keeps you coming back.

Friday, July 18: Cheers to the 715!

It’s 715 Week! Let’s raise a glass to all the sips that make this place shine! Eau Claire’s beverage scene is full of flavor, creativity, and local pride, and there’s no better time to toast to it all.

Craft beer lovers, start your engines: The Brewing Projekt, Lazy Monk Brewing, Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen, Modicum, and Northwoods Brewpub are pouring up everything from bold IPAs to crisp lagers and experimental small-batch brews. Prefer grapes over hops? River Bend Winery & Distillery and Infinity Beverages offer wine, spirits, and cocktails that are perfect for summer sipping.

And let’s not forget the non-alcoholic stars of the show—coffee and mocktails. Start your day with a cozy cup from Racy’s or Phoenix Coffee, or cool off with a refreshing zero-proof creation from spots like Helix or Dive, where the flavor is just as bold without the buzz.
