 Skiing Red Cedar

Cross Country Skiing
Due to deteriorating snow conditions, the Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department is ceasing all ski trail grooming at the county's ski trails (Tower Ridge, Lowes Creek, Coon Fork, and Evergreen) due to warm temperatures.  Grooming will resume when and if significant snow occurs, and/or temps cool down in order to maintain quality ski trails.  If we continue grooming with the current daytime high temps, we would rapidly deteriorate the trail base.

Red Cedar State Trail has been groomed from Menomonie to Irvington and is in good condition.  Hoffman Hills has been groomed and is also in good condition.

The area has miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing and/or snowshoeing!  Varied terrains make it possible for skiers of all skill levels to enjoy the trails and the beauty of the rolling hills, lakes and woods.  Some trails offer night skiing!  For trail maps, call Visit Eau Claire at 888.523.3866!
