Intro to Music & Arts

My name is Ben Richgruber and I'll be sharing about events surrounding music and arts in the Eau Claire area. Having enjoyed and participated in the arts scene of Eau Claire for quite some time, I’m really looking forward to contributing to the blog regularly with the current happenings.

First off, it’s important to know that I am the Executive Director at the
Eau Claire Regional Arts Center – State Theatre. We have many events, from symphonies to gallery openings– more to come in future posts. Beyond work and the production I’m honored to be a part of, I love checking out the raw and seasoned talent at the Acoustic Café, which features live music on the weekends. It’s a really unique place, awesome for studying, meeting people, dates, sketching or whatever you prefer. Looking forward to posting some pictures and coming events.

The closest hotels are going to be The Holiday Inn Express on Highway 53 and The Sleep Inn & Suites on Highway 29. Check out our Where to Stay section for more info!

What is a close hotel to Cadott Festival?

Hi Tom - Unfortunately there are not any free outdoor concerts that day, but there are a few places in town that offer free live music indoors. For example the Acoustic Cafe downtown and O'Leary's Pub at America's Best Value Inn. Let me know if you would like more information. You can email me at kristen@visiteauclaire.com. Enjoy your weekend!

I live in the hills south of Eau Claire with my wife, Ruth, my son, Taylor and our two cats, Marie and Louise. We are all active in road and mountain biking, skiing and snow shoeing. Taylor and I race our bikes in the WiSport and WORS races throughout the spring, summer and fall.
