As a native and longtime resident of Eau Claire, my husband and I are delighted to be contributors to this new blog. My name is Connie, and my husband Jeff and I are your Nature resource in the Eau Claire area.
Since we married, 36 years ago, getting outside has always been a high priority and a part of our family routine. Now that the kids are out of the house and we have more time, we do a lot of hiking, biking, grilling out and campfires in the summer, canoeing and kayaking. Due to the weather and time of year, we have enjoyed our daily walks in the woods with the dogs and frequent snowshoeing outings in some of the state parks. We have two golden retrievers that share our love of nature and we bring them with us on most of our outings. We’ve visited Lowes Creek County Park most — they have great trails and the dogs love it too. As always, we are really looking forward to the warmer months when we can get out and do more. I look forward to sharing more specific outings and events with you in the months to come.
