This time of year is always so busy… what with the beginning of the holiday season and, for me, the beginning of dance team competition season (I am a teacher at Danz Kraze in Eau Claire). I always welcome time with my girlfriends as a way to relax from all of the craziness this time of year brings!
This month we even had something to celebrate! One of my good friends is expecting her first baby, so we had a baby shower at one of our favorite local hangouts; Hobsy’s! I know what you’re thinking… a baby shower at a bar? Well yes! It was a coed shower and we didn’t want the guys to feel uncomfortable, so we had the Badger game on the big screens and pitchers of beer! It was a lot of fun and even the guys got into the opening of the baby gifts! Hobsy’s is a fun, laid back atmosphere with great drink specials and friendly bartenders… it’s always a favorite of ours for a laid back afternoon or evening!
After the shower, a few of ladies decided to go out for a few cocktails at O’Leary’s, located at America’s Best Value Inn. They have free live music on Friday and Saturday and this weekend didn’t disappoint! We had a great time catching up, enjoying a few drinks and listening to the band!
