I can’t believe that summer is almost over… it just goes by so fast! It’s hard to find time to enjoy all the great stuff that the area has to offer, but I was able to make a day of it last weekend with a few friends. We spent the morning at the downtown farmer’s market at Phoenix Park. It was a beautiful day… not too hot and humid, with a great breeze. The farmer’s market never fails to amaze me… with its permanent building in Phoenix Park with river views and all of the great vendors; it is a great addition to the downtown area. I was able to get a lot of items on my grocery list crossed off, at a fraction of the price.
After grabbing coffee and strolling through Phoenix Park, it was time to get ready for a night on the town…. And by that I mean manis and pedis before a night on the town! Nicole’s Salon is a great place for a manicure with friends and has many different spa packages to choose from. It’s always fun to get pampered a bit while enjoy gossip with your girlfriends!
Manis and pedis finished, it was time to go to dinner at Stella Blue’s, a great Cajun restaurant in Eau Claire that is one of my favorites. The food is delicious and the wine is even better! While sitting outside we were able to enjoy the great weather… you should too! After all, winter weather will be here before you know it.
