Biking to the Concert!

The summer has been busy. I'm not getting many hours on my bike, but I'm looking forward to the "dog days" of summer so that we can get some family rides in.  On Thursday we rode from our house on the Lake Altoona Trail to the music at Phoenix Park.  We had to leave before sundown, in order to have an easy ride home, but it was a lovely night!  Believe it or not, I have yet to ride the new trail segment along Clairemont... so that is on the agenda for the weekend...with lunch at the new Mediterranean deli on Water Street...need to check it out, too!  If you've been on a great ride this summer that is great for kids in the preteen age group, let me know...

The music and arts scene in the Eau Claire Area is alive and well, and from live local theater to mainstream national acts, I can’t get enough of it! I enjoy all aspects of the cultural arts from performing to watching, and hope to bring it alive for you in the Visit Eau Claire Music and Arts blog.

I live in the hills south of Eau Claire with my wife, Ruth, my son, Taylor and our two cats, Marie and Louise. We are all active in road and mountain biking, skiing and snow shoeing. Taylor and I race our bikes in the WiSport and WORS races throughout the spring, summer and fall.
