It has been a long time since I have had time for a fun weekend getaway with my friends. Not only are the holidays jam packed, but I also coach an area junior varsity dance team... and with games and/or competitions every weekend from November through February, it is hard to find time to get together with the girls. Now that the holidays are over and the dance team season is winding down, I can now plan a night out with my best girlfriends. I am looking forward to a night on the town filled with dinner, drinks, dancing and laughter! More to come on that in a few weeks...
As a warm-up to our big upcoming weekend and a break from the work week, a few friends and I decided to try out Taverna Grill, a new Italian-American Sports Bar located near Festival Foods in Eau Claire. The atmosphere is great and the interior design is very cool... a modern twist on the typical sports bar, although there are plenty of tv's to watch sports, there is awesome black and white artwork with different sports themes.
The service was fabulous and the food, even better! Between us we ordered and shared the Pepperoni Flatbread, the Tuscan Taverna Pasta with Shrimp and the Pasta Margherita. We will definitely go back to Taverna Grill... it is a great place to relax, have dinner and share a few drinks with friends, and of course, watch the game!
