What a perfect day to do some shopping! I met the girls downtown for lunch at The Acoustic Café. They have great sandwiches and soup… the coffee’s pretty awesome too! It was a pretty busy afternoon, but we managed to get a table by one of the windows and were able to people watch while we ate lunch. After lunch we decided to check out some of the stores downtown… and there are definitely a lot of them.
Our first stop was Cadeaux, what a great gift shop! They have tons of stuff; lotions, soaps, wine, beer, pet items, baby items… you name it, they have it. You can buy the items individually, but they also put together custom baskets that are perfect for any occasion. In fact, I bought one for my sister and her husband as a wedding gift and they loved it!
After Cadeaux, we went to Tangled Up In Hue, a newer store on Barstow Street. They have jewelry and art by local artists, clothing and more. They also do screen printing and glass blowing.
All in all, it was a great day… the weather was perfect and the sales were awesome!
