The arts and sciences literally will share the stage for a one-of- a-kind event that will weave together musical pieces, recent scientific discoveries and stunning images of the solar system. This event will feature Dr. Paul Thomas, a professor of astronomy at UW-Eau Claire, and Julie Majkowski Thomas, an accomplished flutist. Percussionist Tiit Raid, and pianist Kay Scharn, also will perform. The presentation will weave up-to- date news from our exploration of the solar system (including our recent spacecraft flyby of Pluto) with a musical accompaniment in an organic combination that excite anyone who has experienced wonder at the universe and our first small steps of exploration.
