Visit Eau Claire Hosts Kickball Classic - Now Accepting Co-ed Teams

Published: 08/08/2014

The Visit Eau Claire Sports Commission presents the Chippewa Valley Rock-n-Roll Kickball Classic and X Birthday Bash September 19 & 20 at Cinder City Park in Altoona, WI.  The two-day tournament is returning for its fifth year and is now accepting co-ed teams!

Up to 24 teams will battle it out, schoolyard style, and hundreds of spectators are invited to eat, drink, jam, and enjoy the weekend!  Not only is this a kickball tournament – it features several bands, BBQ, beer, beanbags and kubb and it’s open to the public!

Co-ed kickball teams can register now to reserve their spots at www.visiteauclaire.com/rockandroll.  Teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games and each player gets their own custom color t-shirt!  A team can register right away without a complete roster.  There are only 24 team spots available and they are going fast!  Final registration and roster deadline is September 5 and cost is $250 per team.

Teams may win part of more than $1,000 in cash and prizes or trophies!  First place wins $500 in cash, second wins $250, and third wins $100.

Many features including bands, food, and more are still being added – watch for further announcements prior to the event.  For details, rules, and registration, go to www.visiteauclaire.com/rockandroll or contact Michael Strubel at (715) 559-9377.

All proceeds will benefit the Visit Eau Claire Sports Commission, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing high quality amateur sporting events to the Eau Claire area.  Working with local sports organization, all money raised will be reinvested back into the economy through sporting events and tournaments.

Visit Eau Claire effectively markets the Eau Claire area as a destination for conventions, group tour, sporting events, and leisure markets; to promote regional economic growth; to enhance the area’s overall identity and image; to sell fun, promote fun, and most importantly – Have FUN!
