Eau Claire Fury and the City of EC Present the 50th Annual EC Classic Fastpitch Softball Tournament

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Eau Claire Fury is excited to announce that the Eau Claire Classic Fastpitch Softball Tournament will celebrate its 50th Anniversary when the event is held June 24-26, 2016.

A complete list of tournament venues is still to be determined, but several fields will be utilized to host what will be the largest tournament hosted by the Eau Claire Fury.  The goal is to have over 100 teams competing in the tournament.

“This tournament is an opportunity to showcase the incredible hospitality of the Chippewa Valley, the tremendous softball talent in our region and strong tradition of softball for over five decades in Eau Claire,” Tournament Assistant Director Jodi Thesing-Ritter said.  “Eau Claire Fury is proud and honored to be a part of this opportunity.”

Admission to the event is free and concessions will be made available at the different tournament venues.

The estimated economic impact of hosting this event in the Eau Claire Area is over $400,000.
